در بہ در مدحت سرکار سناتا ہوا میں
اپنی بخشش کا ہوں سامان بناتا ہوا میں

دم بہ دم لفظ عطا کرتا ہوا ربِّ کریم
شعر در شعر انہیں نعت بناتا ہوا میں

آپ ہیں مسندِ محمود پہ جلوہ افروز
اور غلاموں میں کھڑا نام لکھاتا ہوا میں

آپ رحمت سے مری چارہ گری کرتے ہوئے
آپ کو روتے ہوئے زخم دکھاتا ہوا میں

حوضِ کوثر پہ مجھے جام پلاتے ہوئے آپ
عمر کی پیاس لئے ہاتھ بڑھاتا ہوا میں

سایہءِ گنبدِ خضریٰ میں برستی رحمت
دونوں ہاتھوں سے اسے خود پہ گراتا ہوا میں

جب کبھی ظلم کیا جان پہ اپنی میں نے
آپ کی سمت چلا اشک بہاتا ہوا میں

روکتے کھینچتے دوزخ سے بچاتے ہوئے آپ
اور دوزخ کی طرف دوڑ لگاتا ہوا میں

صدیوں پہلے ہیں مری فکر میں روتے ہوئے آپ
آج بھی عمر کو غفلت میں گنواتا ہوا میں

آپ فرماتے ہوئے کون سنائے گا مجھے نعت
دور جوتوں میں کھڑا ہاتھ ہلاتا ہوا میں

اچھا لگتا ہوں بہت اپنے خدا کو تحسین
اپنے ہونٹوں کو دردوں سے سجاتا ہوا میں
