خوابوں کو دیواریں اور تعبیروں کو چھت کرتا ہوں
ہجر کے دکھ کو سکھ کرنا مشکل ہی کیا ناممکن ہے
لیکن میں اس زہر کو آسانی سے شربت کرتا ہوں
پہلے تو میں سب سے زیادہ خود سے محبت کرتا تھا
لیکن اب میں سب سے زیادہ خود سے نفرت کرتا ہوں
میری مجبوری پر شاید مجبوری بھی چیخ پڑے
میں بد قسمت دست تنہائی پر بیعت کرتا ہوں
کتنی سنجیدہ نظری سے دیکھ رہے ہیں خار و گل
میں کمرے کے آئینوں کی یوں بھی عزت کرتا ہوں
دنیا کی فطرت ہے جوتے کھا کر عزت کرتی ہے
میں ٹھہرا پھر خادم بندہ ڈٹ کر خدمت کرتا ہوں
کیسے کسی عہدے پر پہنچوں کیسےگگن کا چاند بنوں
نامیں سیاست سہ پاتا ہوں نامیں سیاست کرتا ہوں
